Production Blog: Almost there...

Hey, Kensters! It's me, Kenisha, as I am constructing my commercial. Capcut has a lot to offer. I added a cover for my commercial. It allowed me to pick one of my own images or one online. I chose one that best fit what my commercial was going to be about. Set it to be for about 2 seconds because it's best to keep something that's not as engaging short. Wait...I just realized the photos must be of myself and not just something from online. So, I went back and deleted the cover page. I'll worry about that later. After that, I added the family photo of my family and me. The photo consists of my dad, my mom, me, my 2 sisters and my 2 brothers. I have another sister but she was the person taking the photo and isn't really a picture-friendly person. I love my family. We all act uniquely in our own ways. The majority of my other family says we act like my dad so I look up to him. Anyway, I got sidetracked. Capcut offers a text feature. I added a title to say that thi

Production Blog: Making progress...

Hey, Kensters! It's me, Kenisha, and I am back here today talking about the progress of my commercial. Last time, I spoke about the different types of transitions I wanted to choose. Capcut comes with over 50 available transitions, providing many creative possibilities. Along with free effects and filters, the editing tool has proven to be quite versatile in enhancing the visual appeal of my commercial. I began tinkering with the text button, which allowed me to add small sub-captions alongside my pictures and videos. This feature served the purpose of keeping viewers informed about the content and storyline of my commercial, ensuring they stayed engaged throughout. Recognizing that perfection is a lofty goal, I meticulously added all the necessary touch-ups to make these pictures and videos stand out, striving to create a unique visual experience. When it came to incorporating music, I delved into the intricacies of selecting the right soundtrack. The challenge was to harmoni

Production Blog: Only the beginning...

Hey, Kensters! It's me, Kenisha. Currently, I am figuring out how to create my commercial. I gathered all my pictures and videos and entered them into one album to make things easier. This way, it will be easier to pick out the images and videos I need without reviewing my entire album again. I downloaded a few editing apps to see which one I use comfortably. After comparing their features and reviews, it came down to "Capcut." This app is amazing. Just when you come into the app, there are not any extra unnecessary things there. It is very simple to use, and it's completely free. So, as I was maneuvering around the app, I started to create my commercial. I clicked to create a project, and it guided me to where I needed to be to edit my commercial. I added all videos first since they took some time to download in the app due to the capacity. Then I added all my pictures. I thought about the order I would put my songs in to see which one was a smoother transition

Research and Planning Blog !

Hey, Kensters! It's me Kenisha, and I am researching and planning for my commercial. Growing up I've always been indecisive and have a problem picking just one thing. Especially when it comes to images. In my camera roll, I have about 60,000 pictures and videos. Picking out media for my commercial, I narrowed it down to a photo of my family and I. I first thought of this picture because family is vital. My second image is of myself. My friends call me self-centered because I love myself...but who will love me if I don't love myself? Thirdly, an image of my pet cat named Oreo and I. Oreo is a huge representation of myself because I view him as my bestfriend. Lastly, a picture of my cousin and I. I love my cousin and there are never bad memories when I am with her. Personally, I prefer video to images. The videos are more engaging and easier to tell a story. A video I will include is of me dancing. I love to dance, and I feel relaxed and comfortable when I am dancing. A

All About Me!

Hey, Kensters! My name is Kenisha Dory Maxide and welcome to my blog. I am 16, born on June 6th, 2007, and attending Fort Lauderdale High School. This year I am in the 11th grade, which also marks the 2nd year I have been a part of FLHS's dance team, Blue Royals. Being a part of the Blue Royals dance team has taught me a lot, such as improving my dance skills, building up stamina, and a boost of confidence. This has led to me trying out again this year, I enjoy dancing but the environment of being on the Blue Royals dance team is so comforting and fun I just had to do it again. Plus, being a part of this team would look great on my resume which can help further the dreams I have for the future. After high school, I plan on attending college. Currently, I am aiming toward FIU Law to pursue my career as a crime scene investigator preferably in the city of Miami, Florida since they have high levels of crime which can benefit me financially. I am 1 out of 5 siblings and being the
