Production blog: still going

Image
Hey, Kensters! It's me, Kenisha. I chose not to record today since today is a non-record day for me. Instead, I bought things I knew I needed to film. I went to a few stores so I could purchase a diary. I personally don't own a diary because I feel like it may fall into the wrong hands. So, I rather keep things to myself instead of writing them down.  Instead of buying a book set for being a diary I just used a blue spiral book instead. It’s my favorite color and I would love to see my favorite color if I were writing my deepest secret inside. I also bought a few clothes for when it’s time to record. I am going for a more cozy and warm wardrobe. It ties well with the breakup scenario because usually when ur break up with you feel depressed and sad. I also took a snack break. I made sure my ring light was charged, so when I started recording there wouldn’t be any setbacks again. For the scene when I am In the car it has to be a set and strict date. Because my parents work a

Production blog: exploring capcut for music video

Image
Hey, Kensters! It's me, Kenisha. My choice for editing the upcoming music video revolves around Capcut, a versatile and user-friendly application. The decision was influenced by my positive experience using this app for a commercial project. I aim to expand its use for my music video, which involves limited footage from a park setting. To avoid last-minute rushes, I plan to initiate the editing process promptly. Despite the limited footage, this challenge fuels creativity in crafting a visually engaging narrative. The primary focus is on synchronizing the shots with the music's rhythm and mood. Starting with the song, I delve into the editing process, identifying key lyrics that resonate with the visuals. Cutting the song to emphasize these crucial lyrics forms the foundation of the video's narrative structure. Capcut’s user-friendly interface aids in aligning these important lyrics with corresponding visuals. The synchronization between music and imagery enhances the v

Hey, Kensters! It's me, Kenisha. This previous weekend I started recording my music video. I knew making this music video would have a few setbacks. But, I reached my first location which was a little clip of me outside viewing my phone and then receiving a text. While I was trying to shoot this scene the lighting kept changing due to the clouds trying to go in front of the sun. So I waited for a while until the clouds went away. It feels a little awkward recording outside due to the cars and pedestrians walking by. I am NOT a very social person. But, I did end up catching a beautiful picture of the sunset. After I recorded the scene I checked to see if what was going on made sense. So, when it is time to reveal what the context of the music video is, it'll be visible. I tried to see if I could squeeze in some time to go to the park to try and film the next scene. But, sadly it was getting dark so the park had to close. It's okay I just wanted to be a little ahead

My group for the Music Video

Image
Hey, Kensters! It's me, Kenisha. I've made the decision to embark on the journey of creating my music video all by myself. I'm choosing to work solo because I'd rather take on the entire workload and creative process independently, rather than rely on others for any aspect of it. One of the primary reasons for this solo venture is that I've already envisioned exactly how I want the video to turn out. In a group setting, we'd have to reach a consensus, and if someone disagrees with my vision, it could lead to conflicts and compromises that I'd rather avoid. The song I've selected for this project is "Happier" by Marshmello ft. Bastille. This song resonates with me because it beautifully speaks of the pain one feels when losing a loved one. It's a rollercoaster of emotions, with different facets of sadness and hope woven throughout its lyrics. Despite its upbeat pop style, "Happier" carries a profound message that can serve as

Introduction to the Music Video

Image
Hey, Kensters! It's me Kenisha, and I am getting ready to start my music video.  I am 16, born on June 6th, 2007, and attending Fort Lauderdale High School. This year I am in the 11th grade, which also marks the 2nd year I have been a part of FLHS's dance team, Blue Royals. Being a part of the Blue Royals dance team has taught me a lot, such as improving my dance skills, building up stamina, and a boost of confidence. This has led to me trying out again this year, I enjoy dancing but the environment of being on the Blue Royals dance team is so comforting and fun I just had to do it again. Plus, being a part of this team would look great on my resume which can help further the dreams I have for the future. After high school, I plan on attending college. Currently, I am aiming toward FIU Law to pursue my career as a crime scene investigator preferably in the city of Miami, Florida since they have high levels of crime which can benefit me financially. I am 1 out of 5 sibling

Reflection: All about me commercial

Image
Hey, Kensters! It's me, Kenisha. I just finished my commercial. I learned to use my laptop to access Capcut to help me edit the commercial. During this process, I learned how to do something I did not think I could do. Such as editing, I thought I would not have got it. But, Caput was easy to understand and I created a masterpiece. I am satisfied with how it came out. But, to make the next project better would need my time management skills. I felt like I rushed everything last minute but that is completely on me. Until next time, bye, Kensters!

Production Blog: The end

Image
Hey, Kensters! It's me, Kenisha, and I'm absolutely thrilled to be in the final stages of wrapping up this commercial project. Currently, I've managed to complete just one clip, which happens to be the one featuring my family. In this particular clip, I've thoughtfully included a picture of myself, along with the necessary subtitle text, to provide a deeper context for the viewers. But what truly brings an ear-to-ear smile to my face is the prospect of sharing a picture of my beloved cat, Oreo, and me. Oreo isn't merely a pet; he's my best friend, a cherished companion without whom I can't imagine my life. The bond we share is profoundly special and irreplaceable. In addition to Oreo, I've also included a heartwarming picture of my favorite cousin and me. Whenever we spend time together, it's an adventure, and there's never a dull moment. To capture the essence of our relationship, I've thoughtfully added a caption that perfectly encapsu
